I have a confession to make. I haven't had my eyebrows groomed in months. Now as someone who used to get their eyebrows threaded/waxed religiously, this goes against everything I stand for. As it is my first year in college, my disposable income unfortunately isn't as readily available for use as it once was in high school (Ahhh the joys of being a broke ass college student). However, I am embracing this new bushy, unkept eyebrow look that I have been rocking for the past couple of months. Fortunately for me, and my empty wallet, big, bold eyebrows are on trend!

Some of my absolute favorite pairs of eyebrows belong to Lily Collins, Camilla Belle, and Lily Aldridge (pictured below)

An honorable mention goes to Emma Stone's thicker eyebrows at the 2014 Met Gala

To me, all these women have the best eyebrows in the game and have inspired me to keep fighting through the pain as I continue on the journey that is growing my brows out. For the past couple years I have been all about the sharp eyebrow look with clean lines. Once I stopped getting them waxed/threaded and let them grow out, I began to love their natural looking untidiness. I do tweeze stray hairs here and there but for the most part I leave them alone. Also, I do still fill them in just a bit in any sparse areas using the Anastasia Brow Wiz in the color Ebony. I honestly don't know when I'll go in to get them groomed again but until then, I'm going to let them grow to their full potential so whatever esthetician that has the pleasure of waxing them will have a lot to work with. Your eyebrows can really help frame your face and when done right can make all the difference. Whether you like to keep your eyebrows thin & tidy or sharp & bold, it is truly about what you're comfortable with!

(A little background info about my skin type/makeup preferences) For my base I prefer to use something that enhances my complexion rather than completely masks it. With that being said, I tend to stick with tinted moisturizers, BB cremes, or sheer coverage foundations. If you were to look through my makeup collection you'd typically find products that give me a dewy or natural finish. I would say my skin is a little oily but has become increasingly on the normal side for reasons unknown to me (I ain't complaining!). I do like to let my real skin show. As you can see, my freckles and minor blemishes have gotten the OK from me to show themselves. I am letting my eyebrows grow out at the moment so don't mind their disheveled upkeep….though I have been kinda diggin' the messy, thick eyebrow trend to be honest.
